Sasquatch! Music Festival Cancels Second Weekend

Live Nation Seattle president cites lack of support for the Fourth of July weekend.

for the first time in its 12 year history, Sasquatch! Music Festival plans to expand to two weekends in 2014, offering a weekend of music starting in late May and one on the fourth of July.

However, that plan did not come to fruition. The festival announced today (March 21) on its website that the second weekend no longer take place.

The festival cited an influx of support for his usual timeframe weekend of Memorial Day and the lack of support for the Fourth of July weekend as their corresponding reason for cancellation week.

Sasquatch! Had already announced several artists for the weekend’s Fourth of July, including Soundgarden , Kraftwerk , New Order and Frank Ocean . According to the festival website, some artists try to make other arrangements at the sites of the area at that time.
